Civil Site Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Civil Site Engineer to manage and supervise civil and structural works across our ongoing projects, including warehouse, villa, commercial, and technical services projects.

The candidate must have strong practical site experience in RCC works, reinforcement/rebar, foundations, concrete casting, QA/QC inspections, subcontractor coordination, and consultant inspections.

The engineer will initially be involved in an ongoing warehouse structural concrete project and will also be assigned to other company projects as required.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise all civil and structural works at site.
• Execute works according to approved IFC/shop drawings, specifications, method statements, and project requirements.
• Supervise excavation, compaction, PCC, RCC foundations, footings, columns, tie beams, slabs, and other structural works.
• Check reinforcement/rebar including:
• Bar diameter and spacing
• Lap lengths
• Development lengths
• Concrete cover
• Chairs and spacers
• Starter bars
• Beam, slab, footing and column reinforcement
• Inspect shuttering/formwork before concrete casting.
• Prepare site for consultant inspections prior to concrete pours.
• Coordinate concrete casting activities including manpower, concrete pumps, transit mixers, vibration, finishing and curing.
• Check concrete grade, delivery notes, slump tests and cube testing requirements.
• Coordinate with third-party laboratories for concrete cube tests, compaction tests and other required testing.
• Raise and follow up WIRs, MIRs and inspection requests.
• Maintain proper QA/QC documentation and site records.
• Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, foremen and project management.
• Monitor daily manpower, productivity and site progress.
• Prepare daily and weekly progress reports.
• Ensure materials delivered to site comply with approved specifications.
• Identify drawing discrepancies and raise technical queries/RFIs where required.
• Coordinate civil works with structural steel, MEP and architectural teams.
• Prepare quantity take-offs and verify subcontractor quantities where required.
• Ensure work is completed according to project schedule and quality requirements.
• Maintain proper housekeeping and follow site HSE requirements.
• Take responsibility for inspections, rectifications and closing consultant comments/NCRs.

Mandatory Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Civil Engineering.
• Valid UAE Driving Licence is mandatory.
• Valid Dubai Municipality Civil Engineer / DM licence or accreditation is mandatory.
• Minimum G+1 qualification.
• Minimum 3–5 years UAE site experience.
• Strong hands-on experience in RCC structural works.
• Excellent understanding of reinforcement/rebar installation and checking.
• Strong experience with foundations, columns, beams, slabs and concrete casting.
• Experience dealing directly with consultants and inspections.
• Knowledge of QA/QC documentation including WIR, MIR, ITP, method statements and inspection checklists.
• Ability to understand structural, architectural and MEP drawings.
• Ability to independently manage day-to-day site activities.
• Good communication skills in English.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD, MS Excel and basic project documentation is preferred.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for a practical site engineer, not only an office-based engineer. The candidate should be comfortable spending most of the working day on site, checking reinforcement, shuttering, levels, concrete works, manpower and workmanship.

The candidate should be capable of independently handling a project site and reporting directly to the Project Manager/Management.

Pay: AED3,000.00 - AED5,000.00 per month
