Civil Site Engineer

Job Summary

Avanti Contracting LLC is looking for a Civil Site Engineer with relevant experience in infrastructure and road construction projects. The candidate will be responsible for supervising site activities, coordinating with subcontractors and consultants, ensuring quality and safety standards, and executing works in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and project schedules.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage day-to-day civil construction activities at the project site.
• Execute infrastructure and road works in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and method statements.
• Coordinate and monitor roadworks, earthworks, excavation, backfilling, drainage, utilities, kerbstones, paving, and related infrastructure works.
• Review construction drawings, specifications, BOQs, and project requirements before execution.
• Coordinate with the surveyor to ensure correct levels, alignments, and dimensions.
• Monitor subcontractors and site teams to ensure work is carried out as per approved plans and project requirements.
• Coordinate with consultants, clients, subcontractors, and other project disciplines to resolve site-related issues.
• Conduct regular inspections and ensure that construction works meet the required quality standards.
• Prepare and maintain daily progress reports, site records, inspection requests, and other required documentation.
• Monitor project progress and ensure activities are completed according to the approved schedule.
• Identify site issues, delays, and technical problems and coordinate with the Project Manager/Construction Manager for appropriate solutions.
• Ensure proper implementation of approved method statements, risk assessments, and HSE requirements.
• Coordinate material requirements and ensure approved materials are available for planned construction activities.
• Assist with quantity measurements, material take-offs, and preparation of as-built information.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in civil construction, preferably in infrastructure and road projects.
• Strong knowledge of road construction and infrastructure works.
• Experience in earthworks, drainage, utilities, road pavement, kerbstones, interlock/paving, and related civil works.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and BOQs.
• Good knowledge of surveying, levels, alignment, and site execution procedures.
• Experience coordinating with consultants, clients, subcontractors, and site teams.
• Good knowledge of construction quality and HSE requirements.
• Strong communication, coordination, problem-solving, and site management skills.
• UAE/GCC infrastructure and road construction experience will be an advantage.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office is preferred.

Pay: AED5,000.00 - AED6,000.00 per month
