Civil Site Engineer

1. Plan, design, and supervise civil construction and infrastructure projects from inception to completion.
2. Prepare and review project drawings, BOQs, specifications, cost estimates, schedules, and technical reports.
3. Conduct regular site inspections and monitor construction progress, quality, and workmanship.
4. Ensure all construction activities comply with UAE building codes, Abu Dhabi regulations, safety standards, and approved drawings.
5. Coordinate effectively with contractors, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and other project stakeholders.
6. Review and approve construction drawings, material submittals, method statements, and technical documentation.
7. Monitor project timelines, costs, resources, and overall progress, identifying and resolving issues promptly.
8. Ensure proper selection and application of construction materials and methods.
9. Coordinate civil works with MEP systems to avoid conflicts and ensure smooth project execution.
10. Liaise with relevant authorities and support the approval and inspection process where required.
11. Identify site issues, technical problems, and variations and recommend appropriate solutions.
12. Maintain accurate project records, inspection reports, progress reports, and other engineering documentation.
13. Ensure adherence to health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements throughout the project.
14. Provide technical guidance to site teams and ensure work is completed according to project specifications.
15. Attend project meetings and provide regular updates to management regarding project progress and challenges.

Desired Candidate Profile

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university.
2. 8–10 years of relevant experience in civil construction, infrastructure, or building projects.
3. UAE experience is preferred, particularly experience working in Abu Dhabi.
4. Arabic speaker with strong verbal and written communication skills.
5. Abu Dhabi Municipality registration/classification is preferred.
6. Strong knowledge of UAE construction standards, building regulations, and authority requirements.
7. Good understanding of MEP systems and coordination with civil works.
8. Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and relevant engineering/project management software.
9. Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, drawings, BOQs, specifications, and quality control.
10. Ability to read, interpret, and review engineering drawings and technical documents.
11. Strong project coordination, problem-solving, planning, and site management skills.
12. Ability to work independently as well as coordinate effectively with contractors and consultants.
13. Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making abilities.
14. Willingness to work on-site in Abu Dhabi and manage project activities as required.
