About the role

We are seeking a talented Civil Structural Designer to join our growing team in Quezon City, Metro Manila. This is a full-time position that offers a significant opportunity to contribute to the design and development of structural systems for a variety of commercial, residential and infrastructure projects. As a Civil Structural Designer, you will play a crucial role in translating project requirements into detailed structural designs whilst ensuring compliance with building codes, safety standards and client specifications. This role is essential to our project delivery pipeline and offers the chance to work on meaningful projects that impact communities across the Philippines.

Key responsibilities

Direct Supervision with the Principal Structural Engineer for the following :

• Develop detailed structural designs and technical drawings using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software
• Conduct structural analysis and calculations to ensure designs meet safety requirements, building codes and industry standards
• Prepare design specifications, material schedules and construction documentation for use by contractors and construction teams
• Collaborate with architects, engineers and project managers to integrate structural requirements with overall project objectives
• Review and assess project requirements, site conditions and geotechnical data to inform design decisions
• Perform quality checks on designs to verify accuracy, completeness and compliance with specifications
• Communicate design concepts and technical information effectively to stakeholders, clients and team members
• Support site inspections and provide technical guidance during construction phases as required
• Stay updated on emerging design trends, technologies and regulatory changes within the structural engineering industry
• Value engineering and estimation (quantity take-off)

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering
• Professional license or registration as a Civil Engineer (preferably with PRC certification in the Philippines)
• Minimum of 2-3 years' professional experience in structural design and analysis
• Proficiency in structural design software such as STAAD.Pro, SAP2000, ETABS or equivalent applications
• Strong knowledge of AutoCAD and BIM software such as Revit for creating detailed structural drawings
• Solid understanding of building codes, design standards and construction practices relevant to the Philippines
• Excellent mathematical and analytical skills with attention to detail and precision
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities with the capacity to work effectively in collaborative environments
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Experience with commercial, residential or infrastructure projects is highly desirable
• Knowledge of sustainable design principles and green building practices is advantageous
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Knowledge in construction estimation (quantity take-off)
