Location: Cardiff (Hybrid - 3 days in office)

Are you an experienced Civil or Structural Engineer looking to work on a varied range of residential developments and building projects?

Do you have UK consultancy experience across housing, low-rise structures, drainage or residential infrastructure?

An established, employee-owned civil and structural engineering consultancy based in Cardiff is looking for Engineers through to Senior and Associate level to join its growing team. Working predominantly across residential developments, housing, refurbishments and smaller commercial projects, this is an opportunity to take greater ownership of projects and progress within a supportive consultancy.

The position offers a competitive salary depending on experience and level, alongside an annual employee-ownership profit-share bonus, fully funded private healthcare, a contributory pension and paid ICE or IStructE professional membership. The company offers clear progression through Engineer, Senior and Associate levels, with the opportunity to take greater ownership across a varied portfolio of residential projects.

The Role

• Delivering civil and/or structural designs for housing developments, apartment schemes, refurbishments, extensions and low-rise buildings
• Structural design using reinforced concrete, masonry, timber and steel
• Civil engineering design across drainage, highways, external works, earthworks and SuDS for residential developments
• Preparing calculations, drawings, specifications and technical reports
• Working closely with developers, architects, contractors, local authorities and other consultants
• Attending site visits and supporting projects from initial design through to construction
• Managing projects and supporting junior team members where appropriate

The Person

• Previous UK experience within a civil, structural or residential engineering consultancy
• Experience working on housing developments, residential buildings, refurbishments or similar projects
• Structural candidates should have practical design experience across masonry, timber, reinforced concrete and/or steel
• Civil candidates should have experience in residential drainage, highways, external works and/or SuDS
• Able to produce designs, calculations and technical documentation with limited supervision

Pay: £45,000.00-£65,000.00 per year
