Civil Supervisor

Key Performance Areas

1. Prepare, implement and review of civil procedures to ensure proper regulation and standards are met.

2. Priorities planned and unplanned work requests to ensure a safe service with minimum disruption to the operation.

3. Provide engineering technical advice to colleagues and other trades.

4. Responsible for ensuring civil preventative maintenance is scheduled and undertaken.

5. Responsible for ensuring all civil related repairs are scheduled and undertaken.

6. Supervise carpenters, painter and any trades assistants and trainees / apprentices.

7. Coordinate & monitor third party contractors involved in maintenance, minor modification and minor capital works relating to the civil maintenance infrastructure.

8. Administer and maintain records associated with civil work and infrastructure including drawings, regulatory and procedural requirements, planning, and safety assessments.

9. Undertake asset inspection.

10. Other duties requested by the Chief Engineer from time to time.

11. Liaise with Chief Engineer on technical issues.

12. Undertaking admin duties where required, completing reports and attending internal meeting.

13. Evaluate staff performance.

14. Effectively and properly motivate staff to achieve maximum potential.

15. Anticipate potential risk of injury, take measures to remove them and in the event of an injury, have the ability to implement first aid.

16. Provide courteous service to the occupants and visitors.

17. Undertakes regular inspection

18. Plan work programmes and implement with team. Monitor progress and report accordingly.

19. Provide reactive service to business-critical issues out of hours.

20. Ensure safe systems of work are applied in all activities.

Educational / Professional Qualifications Required:

Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Civil Engineering

Work Experience Required:

Minimum 4 to 5 years of experience in the field with an emphasis on construction and FM industry.
