Civil/Structural Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review civil and structural designs, calculations, drawings and specifications in line with project requirements and applicable standards.
• Coordinate with architecture, interior design, landscape and MEP teams to ensure coordinated designs and resolve technical issues.
• Review structural systems, foundations, proposed alterations, openings and additional loads, and coordinate the required assessments and approvals.
• Support authority submissions and address technical comments in accordance with Abu Dhabi requirements.
• Conduct site inspections to verify that civil and structural works comply with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards and authority requirements.
• Inspect reinforcement, formwork, concrete, structural steel and other civil works, and review relevant material testing results.
• Review contractor shop drawings, material submittals, method statements and requests for information, and provide timely technical responses.
• Coordinate with contractors and consultants to resolve site issues, identify non-conforming works and follow up on corrective actions.
• Attend project and site coordination meetings and follow up on agreed actions.
• Prepare technical, inspection and project progress reports covering completed and ongoing works, site observations, delays and required corrective actions.
• Monitor progress against the approved programme and highlight issues affecting project delivery.
• Report observed safety concerns and coordinate with the contractor and HSE team for corrective action.
• Support snagging, final inspections, review of as-built drawings and project handover.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Minimum of 7-10 years of relevant experience in civil or structural engineering, including design and site supervision.
• Valid Abu Dhabi Municipality (ADM) engineer registration is required.
• Previous experience on projects in Abu Dhabi is required.
• Sound knowledge of applicable UAE codes, Abu Dhabi authority requirements and construction practices.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and relevant structural analysis and design software; Revit/BIM experience is an advantage.
• Strong technical judgement, coordination, communication and reporting skills.
• Ability to manage assigned responsibilities across both office and site activities.

Pay: AED10,000.00 - AED20,000.00 per month

License/Certification:

• Abu Dhabi Registered Engineer (Required)
