Cladder

Job Overview
We are seeking a self employed skilled Cladder to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in fabricating and installing cladding systems, ensuring that structures are both aesthetically pleasing and structurally sound. This role requires proficiency in using various power and hand tools, as well as the ability to read and interpret schematics. The Cladder will work closely with other tradespeople to complete projects on time and to high standards.

Responsibilities

• MUST BE ABLE TO PASS DRUG AND ALCOHOL TEST
• Fabricate and install cladding materials on roofs and walls according to specifications.
• Ensure all installations are plumb and level, adhering to safety standards and building regulations.
• Operate power tools and hand tools safely and effectively for cutting, shaping, and fastening materials.
• Perform heavy lifting as required during the installation process.
• Read and interpret schematics to understand project requirements and layouts.
• Collaborate with carpenters, masons, and other tradespeople to ensure seamless integration of cladding with other building elements.
• Conduct regular inspections of work completed to ensure quality control and compliance with specifications.
• Maintain a clean and organised work environment, ensuring tools are stored correctly after use.

Skills

• Proven experience in cladding installation or a related field.
• Proficient in using power tools such as saws, drills, and welding equipment.
• Strong understanding of masonry techniques is advantageous.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely; physical fitness is essential for this role.
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to plumb structures accurately.
• Familiarity with reading schematics and technical drawings is essential.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues on-site effectively.
• A valid driver's licence may be required for travel between job sites.
