Site Supervisor – Sheet Metal & Cladding

Nielsen Roofing & Sheet Metal has been building in the Okanagan since 1946. We’re looking for a seasoned Site Supervisor to run cladding and architectural metal work for our metal division. This is a senior role — you’ll own your jobs from layout to close-out, and we’ll back you with a solid crew and a shop that turns around what you order.

What You’ll Do

• Plan ahead so crews aren’t standing around wondering what’s next
• Take accurate site measurements and prepare shop orders for flashing and custom profiles
• Lead, train, and mentor crew members on site
• Keep projects on track, on spec, and up to our quality standards
• Maintain a strong safety culture — no shortcuts
• Complete daily production reports using company software
• Track and confirm crew hours for payroll
• Report progress and issues to the Metal Division Superintendent

What You Bring (Required)

• 10+ years of supervisory experience in sheet metal, roofing, or cladding
• Red Seal or provincial trade qualification in Sheet Metal (or recognized equivalent)
• Strong background in architectural cladding and rainscreen systems
• Proven ability to read drawings, measure accurately, and coordinate with a fabrication shop
• Organized, reliable, and able to keep a job running smoothly
• Physically fit and comfortable working on active construction sites
• Valid driver’s licence with a clean abstract
• A good attitude with both customers and co-workers

Assets

• Metal roofing experience
• Experience on institutional or multi-family projects
• Current safety tickets (fall protection, first aid, aerial lift)
