Claim Supervisor (Non-Motor)

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and approve Property and specialty claims, covering Fire, Industrial All Risks, Home, Commercial Property, Marine, Carrier’s Liability, and Engineering-related policies such as CAR and EAR.
• Review and analyze loss reports, surveyor findings, technical documents, and policy wording to determine coverage and liability, including complex or high-value cases.
• Supervise and approve claim evaluations and repair/reinstatement cost assessments prepared by internal assessors and external surveyors, ensuring proper cost control and fair settlement outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with OIC regulations and internal guidelines.
• Lead and manage the claims team to achieve SLA, KPI, and service quality targets.
• Coordinate with surveyors, loss adjusters, contractors, brokers, and reinsurers to ensure smooth case handling.
• Handle escalated cases and complaints professionally.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance claims processes, turnaround time, service quality, and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of experience in Property claims assessment.
• At least 5 years in a supervisory or team lead role.
• Strong knowledge of property policy wording, coverage interpretation, and loss assessment.
• Experience working with internal assessors, surveyors, loss adjusters, and external partners.
• Good understanding of OIC regulations.
• Strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure with high accuracy and professionalism.
