Claims Management Associate (Logistics)

A. Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Logistics, Risk Management, or a related field.
• Preferably 2–4 years of experience in claims, insurance, audit, finance, logistics, transport, or warehouse operations.

B. Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in 3PL/logistics and transportation claims is highly preferred.
• Strong analytical and investigative skills.
• Good negotiation and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and documentation.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and MS Office.
• Able to manage multiple claims and deadlines independently

D. Responsibilities

a. Insurance Management:

• Coordinate the company's insurance requirements, policies, renewals, and documentation.
• Maintain an updated insurance policy and coverage database.
• Coordinate with insurance brokers, insurers, and relevant parties on coverage and claims.
• Review incidents and determine whether they are covered under applicable insurance policies.
• Ensure timely submission of insurance claims and complete supporting documentation.
• Monitor insurance claims until settlement and recovery

b. Claims Management

• Receive, register, investigate, and monitor customer, transport, warehouse, and operational claims.
• Review PODs, delivery documents, inventory records, incident reports, photos, invoices, and other supporting documents.
• Coordinate with Transport, Warehouse, Operations, Finance, customers, and truckers to establish the cause and responsibility for each claim.
• Validate the financial impact and potential liability of claims.
• Coordinate claim settlement, recovery from responsible parties, or insurancere imbursement.
• Monitor aging of outstanding claims and ensure timely closure.
• Maintain an accurate Claims Register/Tracker with status, amount, responsible party, and recovery details.
• Identify recurring incidents and recommend corrective and preventive actions.

c. Audit & Control

• Review claims transactions and supporting documents for completeness and accuracy.
• Monitor compliance with customer contracts, insurance requirements, company policies, and SOPs.
• Identify control gaps and potential financial risks.
• Reconcile claims charged by customers against internal records and supporting documents.
• Ensure claims and insurance recoveries are properly communicated to Finance for accounting and reporting.
• Prepare weekly update and monthly claims and insurance reports for management.
