Class 1 Cat CE Night Trunk Driver ROGERSTONE

Overview We’re looking for a reliable and safety-focused Class 1 (C+E) Night Driver to run a nightly trunk from our Rogerstone depot to our pallet network hub in Fradley. You’ll offload all outbound freight at the hub, reload inbound freight, and return to Rogerstone.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete a nightly trunk route: Rogerstone depot → Fradley hub → Rogerstone depot.
• Safely offload outbound palletised freight at the hub and reload inbound freight for the return leg.
• Conduct thorough vehicle checks and report defects promptly.
• Ensure accurate paperwork, scanning, and load security in line with pallet network procedures.
• Maintain on-time departures/arrivals and communicate delays or issues proactively.
• Adhere to DVSA, WTD/Drivers’ Hours, company H&S policies, and site rules.
• Represent the company professionally at all times, maintaining a clean vehicle and work area.

Requirements

• Valid UK Class 1 (C+E) licence.
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• Strong understanding of drivers’ hours, WTD, and load restraint for palletised freight.
• Minimum 6–12 months Class 1 experience preferred (newly qualified considered with strong attitude to safety and learning).
• Good communication skills and the ability to work independently during night shifts.

Desirable

• Previous pallet network trunking experience.
• Experience with curtain-sided trailers.
• Fradley/Hub environment familiarity.

Shift & Pattern

• Nights, 7:00 pm start from Rogerstone depot.
• Typical route: Rogerstone → Fradley → Rogerstone.
• Approximate shift length aligned with legal hours.
