We’re looking for an experienced, safety-focused operator to join our Nisku-based team. This hands-on role combines driving and equipment operation with field work supporting electrical submersible pump (ESP) installations and pulls across Alberta, British Columbia, and Saskatchewan.

The role

You’ll operate spool trucks and pickup units, with and without trailers, and support ESP installations and pulls at customer sites. Your responsibilities will include:

• Safely loading, securing, and transporting client equipment and materials.
• Spooling ESP cable and installing or removing bands and clamps.
• Completing field work in accordance with company safe operating procedures and customer requirements.
• Conducting pre-trip and post-trip inspections of your assigned unit and associated equipment.
• Performing minor vehicle maintenance and reporting equipment concerns promptly.
• Maintaining accurate logbooks and complying with hours-of-service requirements.
• Completing field service tickets and equipment maintenance records.
• Participating in hazard assessments, tailgate safety meetings, job observation reporting, safety training, and incident investigations.

What you bring

• A minimum of 8–10 years of oilfield experience.
• A valid Class 1 or Class 3 driver’s license and a clean driver’s abstract.
• Current H2S Alive, First Aid, and CSO certifications.
• A dependable work ethic, sound judgment, and a commitment to safe operations.
• The ability to work effectively with your crew and communicate professionally with customers.
• A willingness to travel extensively, work long hours, and perform hands-on field duties.

Direct experience with ESP installations, cable spooling, or downhole instrumentation is an asset. Please highlight any relevant experience in your application.

Schedule and travel

This position is based out of Nisku, Alberta, with work at customer sites throughout Alberta, British Columbia, and Saskatchewan.

The rotation is three weeks on, one week off. Most jobs involve one or two nights in a hotel near the customer’s location before returning to base. Applicants must be comfortable with extensive travel and long workdays as operational requirements demand.

Successful completion of pre-employment drug testing is required.
