Class 1 Driver/Labourer

Overview

We’re a growing company looking for a reliable, enthusiastic Class 1 driver / labourer to join our existing team.
This role includes driving duties along with some yard work and labouring on the shop floor. This will be a varied role from paint spraying to delivering parts to sites across the country, full training will be given along with an opportunity to develop the role further.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate company vehicles, including delivery vans and lorries, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
• Deliver goods to specified locations in a timely and professional manner.
• Assist with loading and unloading items, ensuring proper handling and securement of cargo.
• Support warehouse activities such as stock organisation, inventory management, and general upkeep.
• Perform heavy lifting tasks as required, maintaining safety standards at all times.
• Communicate effectively with team members and clients to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and report any mechanical issues for prompt repair.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving license, class 1 or 2 HGV licence.
• Experience in commercial driving and warehouse operations is highly desirable.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
• Willingness to assist with occasional yard duties
• Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with colleagues and clients.
• Organised with good time management skills to meet delivery schedules.
• Physically fit with the stamina to handle manual tasks throughout the shift.

Pay: £14.00-£17.00 per hour
