Class 1 Driver/Operator

Job Overview

We are seeking a dependable Class 1 Driver/Operator to join our team. Minimum of 3 years driving experience required. You will be responsible for safely operating heavy-duty commercial vehicles, including freight trucks and specialized equipment, to transport goods efficiently across various locations. Your expertise in heavy equipment operation and commitment to safety will ensure timely deliveries and smooth operations. Duties

• Safely operate Class 1 commercial trucks, ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and company policies
• Load, secure, and unload freight using forklifts and other heavy equipment as needed
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment to identify maintenance needs or safety issues
• Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, pickups, and vehicle logs
• Assist with minor automotive repairs or troubleshooting to keep vehicles in optimal condition
• Coordinate with dispatch teams to plan efficient routes and delivery schedules
• Follow safety protocols diligently, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) during loading and unloading activities

Requirements

• Valid Class 1 commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record
• Proven experience in commercial driving, heavy equipment operation, and freight handling
• Certification or experience in forklift operation is highly desirable
• Knowledge of automotive repair basics for routine maintenance checks
• Strong communication skills for clear reporting and teamwork
• Commitment to safety standards and regulatory compliance at all times

Pay: $30.00-$45.00 per hour
