Class 1 HGV Delivery Driver

Location: Warrington / Preston Brook area
Salary: £33,000 – £40,000 basic salary | Expected OTE of £45,000 – £50,000
Overtime: Opportunities for paid overtime (subject to business needs)
Allowances: £10.00 tax-free daily lunch allowance + £25.00 per night out allowance
Hours: 10 Hours per day | Start times varying between 05:00 and 08:00

We are currently recruiting a professional, safety-focused HGV Class 1 Driver specialized in the machinery logistics sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe transit, loading, and unloading of high-value powered access equipment and general plant machinery using low loaders, step trailers, and beavertail trucks. While prior plant experience is highly desirable, we are committed to investing in the right individual. Full equipment and loading training will be provided if necessary to ensure you succeed and operate safely.

Core Responsibilities:

• Specialized Transport: Safely operate Class 1 configurations to deliver and collect a wide range of powered access machinery (including scissor lifts, boom lifts, cherry pickers, and vertical masts) to and from construction, commercial, and industrial sites.
• Safe Loading & Unloading: Drive, position, and securely chain down heavy plant machinery, ensuring weight distribution is compliant and loads are safe for transit.
• Legal Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to all EU/UK driving laws, tachograph regulations, and working hours standards.
• Customer Facing: Provide exceptional service at the point of delivery and collection, acting as a courteous and professional ambassador for our brand.

Candidate Requirements:

• Licence & Age: Hold a valid full UK Driving Licence (Class 1 / Category CE). Due to fleet insurance criteria, the minimum age for this position is 25.
• Credentials: A valid Driver CPC card and Digital Tachograph card are essential.
• Qualifications: Possession of an IPAF licence (such as IPAF 3A/3B categories or a valid PAL Card) is a distinct advantage, but not essential as full training can be provided.
