Class 1 HGV Driver/Tramper

We are seeking a Class 1 HGV Driver/Tramper to join our logistics team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to operate large commercial vehicles, including general haulage, across diverse routes and delivery schedules. As a vital link in our supply chain, you will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining the highest safety standards. Newly registered may be considered.

Description

• Safely operate Class 1 Heavy Goods Vehicles (HGVs), adhering to all road safety regulations and company policies
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure optimal condition and compliance with legal standards
• Manage the secure loading and unloading of cargo, ensuring proper handling and documentation of deliveries
• Plan efficient routes for delivery schedules, adjusting as needed for traffic or unforeseen circumstances
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, and vehicle maintenance activities in compliance with legal requirements
• Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery statuses, delays, or issues during transit
• Follow all health and safety protocols to protect yourself, colleagues, and cargo during every shift

Experience

• Valid Class 1 HGV license with a clean driving record
• Minimum 6 months experience
• Ability to handle physical tasks associated with loading/unloading cargo efficiently and safely
• Excellent navigation skills and familiarity with route planning tools
• Good communication skills and a professional attitude on the road

Pay: £48,000.00-£58,000.00 per year
