Class 1 owner operator - SOLO

Overview

Se7en System Inc. is a Winnipeg-based trucking and freight company. We are family-run, so you talk directly to dispatch and ownership no layers, no runaround. We are looking for solo owner operators to run US long haul freight with us.

Duties

• Safely operate Class 1 commercial trucks to transport freight over long distances, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections, including checking brakes, lights, tires, and cargo securement to ensure vehicle safety and compliance
• Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment when necessary, ensuring proper handling and securement of cargo
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery documentation, and freight details for compliance and reporting purposes
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any issues promptly
• Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting as needed to keep the vehicle in optimal condition
• Follow all safety protocols related to freight handling, heavy equipment operation, and road safety to prevent accidents or damages

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1 commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record
• Proven experience in commercial driving, heavy equipment operation, or related fields
• Ability to operate forklifts safely and efficiently; forklift certification is a plus
• Knowledge of freight handling procedures and securement techniques
• Basic automotive repair skills for troubleshooting minor vehicle issues
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail for accurate documentation and safe operations
• Physical ability to load/unload freight using forklifts or manual handling when necessary

Pay: $145,000.00-$156,000.00 per year
