Class 1 Tramper

Are you a Class 1 Driver looking for the security of guaranteed full-time hours and a permanent contract? Do you want to work for one of the most forward-thinking and fast-growing logistics companies in the UK? How about working Monday to Friday with weekends off? We’re looking to recruit a full-time, permanent Class 1 HGV Tramper Driver to join us at our site in Chorley. You’ll be guaranteed a minimum of 50 hours per week, from Monday to Friday, Typically 05:00 to 16:00, odd 6th shift may be available

We’re looking to offer the competitive hourly rate of £21.81 per hour. You will also receive 22 days holiday per year.

What You’ll Do On a Typical Day

• Single or multi-drop deliveries, generally a maximum of three per load
• Ensure the safe and legal operation of your vehicle at all times
• Typically, Mon to Fri - 05:00 to 16:00 - Flexibility required
• Expectation being Mon to Thurs Nights Tramping

What You Need To Succeed At XPO

• Full UK driving licence (with CE entitlement)
• No more than six points on your licence (as well as no DD, DR or IN endorsements)
• Great knowledge of the UK roads nationally
• Element of manual offloading of product on occasion, so a level of physical fitness is required to achieve this.
• Flexibility to be out up to 4 nights per week.
• Adaptability to drive Class 2 vehicles on occasion desirable.
• HIAB experience preferable but not essential as training available
• Construction industry experience preferable but again not essential - Full load restraining and product offloading training given - Hands on requirement
