Class 1 Van Driver (Fixed Term)

Our fleet of two ships and over 200 trucks is supported by a nationwide network of six depots and a 450+ strong team to deliver hundreds of thousands of tonnes of freight (and passengers) weekly.

We are looking for a reliable and safety-conscious Van Driver to join our team at our South Hornby, Christchurch depot on a fixed-term basis with immediate start. The term of this position will run from October 2026 until the end of January 2027. This position would ideally suit a student who is on summer break.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys being on the road, takes pride in providing dependable service, and is ready to contribute to a busy transport operation.

About the role

·         Complete local pick-ups and deliveries safely and efficiently

·         Load, secure and unload freight with care

·         Carry out daily vehicle checks

·         Provide friendly, professional service to customers and colleagues

·         Follow all health and safety, road transport and company requirements

What you will bring

·         A current, clean Full Class 1 Driver Licence

·         A safe and responsible approach to driving

·         Reliability, punctuality and a strong work ethic

·         A good geographical knowledge of Christchurch and the wider community

·         Good communication and customer service skills

·         The ability to work independently and as part of a team

·         Physical fitness and confidence handling freight
