Class 2 & 4 Drivers

About the role

NZ Labour Hire Group is seeking experienced Class 2 & 4 Drivers to join our team in Dunedin. This is assisting with a 6 month project based in Dunedin.

These are hands-on driving roles, with general labouring and assisting on site also required. This is not a driving-only position.

Key responsibilities

• Operating Class 2 and Class 4 heavy vehicles safely and in accordance with all traffic laws and safety regulations
• Transporting goods and materials to designated locations within agreed timeframes
• Conducting pre-operation and post-operation vehicle checks to ensure the vehicle is in roadworthy condition
• Maintaining accurate logbooks and delivery documentation as required by law and company policy
• Communicating effectively with dispatch, management and clients regarding delivery status and any issues that arise
• Adhering to vehicle weight restrictions, load securing requirements and health and safety protocols
• Assist with labouring on site.

What we're looking for

• Valid New Zealand Class 2 and Class 4 driving licence with a clean driving record

• Physically fit and comfortable with labouring

• Strong knowledge of traffic laws, road safety regulations and vehicle load management

• Excellent time management and reliability, with the ability to meet tight delivery schedules

• Good communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team

• Physical fitness and ability to perform manual tasks associated with loading and unloading where required

• A commitment to health and safety in the workplace and willingness to follow company policies

• Able to commit to the full 6 months of the project
