Due to continued growth, we are looking for a reliable and professional Class 2 Driver to join our transport team in Heysham. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in delivering excellent service, works safely and efficiently, and wants to be part of a business that values and invests in its people.

The Role

As a Class 2 Driver, you’ll play a key role in delivering and collecting goods safely, securely and on time. You’ll represent Graylaw International when dealing with customers and work closely with the transport team to maintain high service standards and support the wider operation.

Key Responsibilities

· Drive Class 2 vehicles safely and responsibly.

· Complete scheduled deliveries and collections accurately and within agreed timescales.

· Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects promptly.

· Ensure loads are secured correctly and handled safely.

· Complete delivery notes, vehicle records and other transport documentation accurately.

· Use tachograph equipment correctly and comply with drivers’ hours and working time requirements.

· Provide a professional and helpful service to customers.

· Maintain the cleanliness and general condition of the allocated vehicle.

· Communicate delays, access issues or delivery concerns promptly to the transport team.

· Comply with all Health & Safety procedures, transport policies and company standards.

What We’re Looking For

Essential

· Valid Category C/Class 2 driving licence.

· Valid Driver Certificate of Professional Competence.

· Valid digital tachograph driver card.

· Previous experience driving Class 2 vehicles.

· Good understanding of drivers’ hours, tachograph rules and road safety requirements.

· Strong customer service and communication skills.

· Reliable, organised and able to work independently.

· Positive attitude and strong work ethic.

Desirable

· Multi-drop or general haulage experience.

· Experience using tail lifts, pallet trucks or other delivery equipment.

· Knowledge of the local and regional road network.
