Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Class 2 HGV Driver role based in Waltham Abbey. The role involves operating Class 2 tanker vehicles to collect, transport, and dispose of liquid waste, sewage, and hazardous materials in line with company procedures and relevant regulations. Day-to-day responsibilities include completing scheduled and emergency call-outs, carrying out jetting and related drainage work, and following health, safety, and environmental guidelines. The driver will conduct vehicle checks, maintain accurate digital records, and ensure all documentation and tracking systems are updated. The role also requires professional customer interaction on-site, representing BioMarsh with a focus on safety, efficiency, and service quality.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 2 (Category C) HGV license with an excellent, safe driving record.
• Relevant certifications such as CPC qualification; ADR or hazchem-related training is an advantage.
• Experience operating tanker or waste management vehicles, preferably in environmental or drainage services.
• Good understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations related to liquid and hazardous waste.
• Ability to complete digital logs, job sheets, and tracking systems accurately.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to respond effectively to emergency call-outs.
• Good communication and customer service skills when dealing with clients and site contacts.
• Ability to work flexibly, including occasional overtime or varied shift patterns to meet operational needs.
• Physical capability to carry out manual tasks associated with jetting, hose handling, and site work.
• Right to work in the UK; previous experience in a similar HGV or environmental services role is beneficial.
