Class 2 HGV Driver with HIAB Experience

We are currently looking for an experienced Class 2 HGV Driver with HIAB experience to join our busy and growing Transport Team.

This is an exciting opportunity for a reliable, professional driver to become an integral part of our operation. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of their assigned vehicle and associated equipment, while delivering a high standard of service to our customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate an assigned Class 2 HGV and HIAB equipment.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and ensure the vehicle is maintained to a high standard.
• Operate and use all associated vehicle equipment safely and responsibly.
• Ensure the interior and exterior of the vehicle are kept clean and presentable.
• Refuel the vehicle as required.
• Follow all written and verbal instructions from the Transport Team.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues, customers, external companies and members of the public.
• Provide a professional and high level of customer service at all times.
• Work independently and confidently without direct supervision.
• Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with current Working Time Directive (WTD) and Drivers' Hours regulations.
• Plan your working day effectively to ensure legal driving and working-hour requirements are maintained.
• Be prepared to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

About You

We are looking for someone who is reliable, professional and safety-conscious, with a positive attitude and a strong work ethic.

The successful candidate will:

• Hold a valid Class 2 (Category C) HGV licence.
• Have previous HIAB experience.
• Have a good understanding of Drivers' Hours and WTD regulations.
• Be able to work independently and use initiative.
• Have excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Be comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Be organised and able to plan their working day effectively.
• Take pride in the vehicle and equipment they operate.
• Demonstrate a professional approach when representing the company.

Hourly rate: £15.57

Hours per week: 40 hours per week + Regular Overtime Paid at 1.5

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £32,385.60-£39,000.00 per year
