Class 2 REMEDIAL BUILDING SUPERVISOR

About the role

This is a senior construction role focused on the successful delivery of multiple Class 2 remedial and Commercial building projects across Sydney, while providing leadership, technical support and guidance to Management and construction teams. You'll work closely with the Director and take responsibility for construction delivery across a portfolio of technically challenging Class 2 remedial and Commercial building projects. Projects range from approximately $10k to $2M, covering a broad range of remedial and structural repair works and major Commercial building renovations. You'll play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, commercially and to a high standard, while supporting and developing the existing site teams.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the delivery of multiple Class 2 remedial and Commercial building projects across Sydney and Central Coast from commencement through to completion
• Lead, manage and support site teams and site managers
• Take overall responsibility for project performance, programs, quality and safety
• Monitor project progress and proactively identify and resolve construction, site and project issues to keep projects on track
• Manage and review variations, EOTs, subcontractors, procurement and commercial outcomes
• Monitor project financial performance, forecasting, costs
• Provide technical and operational support across concrete remediation, concrete spalling/concrete cancer, waterproofing, façade upgrades, balcony remediation, structural repairs and strengthening
• Work closely with site teams to ensure projects are delivered efficiently, safely and to the required quality standards
• Maintain strong working relationships with clients, consultants, strata managers, subcontractors, suppliers and other key stakeholders
• Assist with project planning, resource allocation, procurement and construction methodology

About you

• 10+ years' experience within the Remedial Building industry
• Strong Class 2 remedial and general building experience and knowledge
• Proven experience delivering multiple remedial building projects from commencement through to completion
• Strong understanding of concrete remediation, spalling/concrete cancer, waterproofing, façade upgrades, balcony remediation, structural repairs and strengthening
• Proven ability to lead and support site teams
• Strong commercial understanding, including budgets, forecasting, variations, EOTs, procurement
• Strong client, consultant, strata manager and subcontractor relationship skills
• A practical, solutions-focused approach to construction and site issues
• Strong understanding of WHS, NSW legislation, Australian Standards and construction compliance
• Qualified Supervisor Certificate
