Class 2 School Bus Driver/ Charter Driver

Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced School Bus Driver to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating a School Bus for student transportation while maintaining excellent customer service. This role requires strong communication skills, minimal mechanical knowledge, and the ability to navigate various routes. Duties

• Safely operate School Buses across designated routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
• Load and unload students, ensuring proper procedures and safety measures met
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to identify any mechanical issues or safety concerns
• Maintain accurate documentation and logs in compliance with company policies
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, regarding run times and any issues encountered during transit
• Assist with minor mechanical troubleshooting when necessary, utilizing mechanical knowledge to ensure vehicle functionality
• Provide exceptional customer service by representing the company professionally during service
• Follow all safety protocols to ensure personal safety and that of others on the road

Experience

• Prior experience with commercial driving and route navigation is a bonus
• Experience working with children is a plus but not mandatory
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for accurate reporting and customer interactions
• Mechanical knowledge related to vehicle maintenance is advantageous but not mandatory
• Must hold a valid Class 2 License with School Bus certificate if wanting to do a school run
