Job Overview

The Class 2/4 Driver role is vital to ensure the smooth operation of delivery of goods throughout the wider Wellington and Kapiti region as required. This role contributes an essential part in the success our Transport Division and includes ownership of moving the stock we are responsible for in undamaged condition, making sure our trucks are presentable and operating effectively, and having face to face positive interactions with our customers.

Responsibilities & Duties

• Uplift, transport and deliver goods as and when instructed.
• Completion of all company records and logs.
• Loading and unloading of trucks as required.
• Carry out any packing, wrapping and/or other protective procedures necessary to ensure that goods are delivered in the same condition as when uplifted.
• Check the quantity & quality of goods delivered and picked up.
• Cleaning of trucks as required.
• Check oil, water, tyre pressures, RUC’s etc. at a minimum of once per week.

Skills & Qualifications

• Full Class 2/4 (preferred) New Zealand Drivers License
• Forklift (F) Endorsement preferred
• Dangerous Goods Endorsement with handling experience preferred.
• Excellent reading and writing skills
• Excellent time management skills
• Excellent customer service skills
