What You’ll Be Doing
Duties and Responsibilities:

• Deliver a diverse fleet of construction equipment to and from customer jobsites. Equipment fleet includes (but is not limited to) aerial, earth moving and compaction equipment .

• Load and unload equipment; secure loaded equipment per company safe work procedures and inspect in transit if necessary .

• Complete thorough and accurate daily pre-inspections and post-inspections, regulatory logs and timesheets.

• Check gas, oil and other fluid levels .

• Secure customer signature on contract, if not already signed .

• Inform supervisor of difficulties with deliveries or pickups .

• Inform management of new sales opportunities and job sites .

• Double check delivered items to make sure customers receive exactly what they ordered .

• Provide basic instruction to customers on the safe operation of equipment if necessary .

• Communicate with dispatch if behind schedule, so customers may be notified .

• Maintain accurate delivery and pickup records. If equipment is missing or broken upon pick up fill out the appropriate forms and get the customer’s signature .

• Tag and move broken equipment to repair area .

• Keep the truck in clean and professional condition at all times .

What You’ll Bring to the Team
Qualifications and Requirements :

• Valid Class 1 or 3 driver’s license with a satisfactory driver’s abstract and commercial driving record (no more than three demerit points). You will be required to provide a copy of your updated driver’s abstract upon request.

• Comfortable with working outdoors year-round and driving in varying weather / road conditions .

• Comfortable with manual transmission.

• Physical stamina and ability to stand for long periods . Must be able to lift approximately 50 lbs.

• Highly safety-focused and professional; take pride in your vehicle and your responsibility as a driver .

• Experience with operation, load securement and transportation of heavy-duty construction equipment on flat-bed trucks is required .

• Available and willing to work overtime when required and on an on-call rotation if required .

• Flexibility; must be comfortable with managing and adapting to multiple changing priorities in a fast-paced work environment.

• Excellent problem-solving and organization skills.

• Strong team-player with effective communication skills; must be able to communicate effectively and professionally with customers and colleagues.

• Self-starter and able to work independently with minimal supervision as well as with a team.
