Class 4 & Class 5 Drivers

About the Role
Unite Recruit is seeking reliable and experienced Class 4 and Class 5 Drivers for civil construction and transport clients across the Canterbury region.

We have opportunities for drivers who can safely operate heavy vehicles, support civil construction projects and carry out transport duties as required. Whether your background is in civil construction, heavy transport or both, we want to hear from you.

We’re looking for safety-conscious drivers who take pride in their work, follow instructions and can work professionally with clients and site crews.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Operating Class 4 or Class 5 vehicles for civil construction and transport assignments.
• Transporting materials, equipment and goods between sites and destinations.
• Supporting civil crews with deliveries, collections and site-related transport duties.
• Carrying out pre-start vehicle checks and reporting defects or safety concerns.
• Following transport procedures, site requirements and health and safety rules.
• Communicating effectively with supervisors, dispatch teams and other workers.

What We’re Looking For

• Current Class 4 or Class 5 driver licence – essential.
• Proven heavy vehicle driving experience.
• Civil construction or transport industry experience.
• A strong commitment to road safety and workplace health and safety.
• Reliable, punctual and professional, with a positive work ethic.
• Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions.
• Flexibility to work across different assignments as required.

Advantageous: WTR endorsements, experience on civil construction sites, tipper or truck-and-trailer experience, and familiarity with heavy vehicle pre-start checks.
