Class 4 Tipper Truck Driver – Immediate Start

Location: Wellington
Day Shifts
Minimum 30 hours per week

We’re looking for an experienced Class 4 Truck Driver to join a busy transport and civil operation in Wellington.
Starting ASAP, this is an initial 2-week temporary position, with a strong possibility of the role being extended for the right person, depending on workload.
About the Role You’ll be operating a tipper truck across cartage, earthworks and paving projects. This is a day-shift position and will suit someone who is reliable, safety-focused and comfortable working in a busy civil environment.
Your responsibilities will include:

• Operating a Class 4 tipper truck safely and efficiently
• Supporting cartage, earthworks and paving/asphalt operations
• Assisting with loading and ensuring loads are secure
• Completing required driving, work/rest and kilometre records
• Carrying out vehicle checks and reporting any mechanical issues
• Following all road transport, health & safety and company requirements
• Working professionally with clients, site teams and members of the public
• Helping minimise fuel and other operating costs
• Reporting any accidents, incidents or vehicle issues promptly

What We’re Looking For To be considered, you’ll need:

• Minimum 6 months' truck driving experience
• Current Class 4 licence with a clean driving record
• Experience with a Road Ranger gearbox would be an advantage
• Experience around paving/asphalt work would be an advantage
• Available to start ASAP
• Available to work day shifts
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test
• A strong focus on safety and reliability
