We are looking for at least two experienced Class 4 Drivers to join a busy food distribution operation based in Palmerston North.

This is a genuine temp-to-perm opportunity offering consistent hours and plenty of variety. You’ll deliver food freight to supermarkets, manufacturing sites, service stations, quick-service restaurants and other customers throughout the lower North Island.

This is a physical, hands-on role involving hand unloading and moving pallets weighing up to one tonne using the equipment provided.

The role

• Metro and regional food-freight deliveries
• Completing hand unloads at customer sites
• Safely moving pallets using the equipment provided
• Checking and securing loads
• Completing delivery paperwork accurately
• Providing professional service to customers
• Following transport, health and safety, and logbook requirements

Run locations include

• Palmerston North
• Whanganui
• Taranaki
• Hawke’s Bay
• Wairarapa
• Kāpiti Coast
• Porirua
• Wellington
• Lower Hutt and Upper Hutt

Hours

Start times are generally between 4:00am and 6:00am, depending on the assigned run.

Finish times will vary and remain within legal logbook hours. Current drivers are averaging approximately 54 hours per week, with additional hours available during peak periods.

What we’re looking for

• A current, clean Class 4 driver licence
• Proven Class 4 delivery experience
• Confidence completing hand unloads
• Physically fit and comfortable with a hands-on role
• Good knowledge of driver logbook requirements
• Reliable, punctual and safety-conscious
• Confident communicating with customers
• Flexible around start and finish times
• Able to pass all required pre-employment checks
