CLASS A CDL DRIVER

Crowder & White Contracting, LLC is urgently seeking dependable Class A CDL Drivers to support hauling, construction, and industrial operations. Drivers must be safety-minded, reliable, and able to work as part of a field team. Heavy equipment operating experience is a plus but is not required.

Class A.Hazmat not required.

Hours: 7am - 4pm. Work week is 5 days a week. Pay is by the hour.Job description:Operate an end dump trailer to haul plastic waste from Franklin VA to Waverly VA. Operator must self load the plastic into the dump trailer using a wheeled loader.Operator must be able to keep track of weight tickets and bill of lading paperwork. Typical work day includes transporting 3 loads of plastic and driving to the landfill at Waverly. Round trip is approximately 3 hours depending on the waverly landfill wait time.
Minimum experience: 1 year of verifiable Class A experience. Experience with a wheeled loader is a plus.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Safely operate Class A CDL commercial motor vehicles.
• Haul materials, waste, aggregate, equipment, and other loads as assigned.
• Perform required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Maintain a valid Class A CDL, DOT medical certification, and all other required credentials.
• Follow DOT, customer, and company safety requirements.
• Maintain assigned vehicles and promptly report mechanical or safety issues.
• Complete required paperwork, logs, tickets, and delivery documentation accurately.
• Assist with general hauling and field-support duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS / EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License.
• Current DOT medical certification and ability to remain medically qualified.
• Safe driving record and dependable attendance.
• Ability to safely operate assigned commercial vehicles and follow all DOT requirements.
• Heavy equipment operating experience is a plus, but is not required.
• Must comply with Crowder & White's drug-free workplace policy and applicable drug-testing requirements.

Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour
