Studio 0172, an Amazon Freight Partner, is hiring full-time Class A CDL drivers.

We welcome experienced drivers as well as recent CDL-A graduates. We also strongly encourage drivers who recently upgraded from CDL-B to CDL-A to apply.

If you have professional driving experience operating a bus, school bus, transit vehicle, shuttle, box truck, delivery truck, or other commercial vehicle, that experience is valuable to us even if you are newer to tractor-trailer operations.

What You’ll Do

You’ll operate Amazon-branded Class A tractors transporting freight between Amazon facilities.

Responsibilities include:

• Operating a Class A tractor with a 53-ft trailer
• Performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Coupling and uncoupling trailers
• Transporting 100% no-touch, drop-and-hook freight
• Following DOT Hours-of-Service requirements
• Communicating with dispatch
• Using electronic logging, GPS and dispatch applications
• Operating safely in yards, highways and customer facilities

New CDL-A Drivers Welcome

We understand that many newly licensed CDL-A drivers have limited experience operating a 53-ft trailer.

Selected drivers are hired as full-time W-2 employees and receive paid onboarding and job-specific instruction as part of their employment.

Newer Class A drivers may begin with shorter, one-day assignments while becoming familiar with our equipment, Amazon facilities and operating procedures.

As drivers demonstrate safe and consistent performance, they may become eligible for longer regional assignments, including 2-day trips.

Compensation

• $24.00/hour starting pay
• Increase to $25.00/hour after approximately 3 months based on satisfactory safety, attendance and job performance
• Overtime paid where applicable

CDL-B Drivers Moving to CDL-A

If you recently upgraded from CDL-B to CDL-A, we especially want to hear from you.

Professional experience operating commercial vehicles such as:

• School buses
• Transit buses
• Shuttle buses
• Box trucks
• Delivery trucks
• Other CDL-B commercial vehicles

can provide a strong foundation for moving into Class A tractor-trailer work.

You may be new to a 53-ft trailer, but you already have experience operating a commercial vehicle around traffic, customers and the general public.

Minimum Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL in good standing
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Recent CDL-A graduates welcome
• CDL-B to CDL-A upgrades welcome
• Safe driving record
• Ability to meet applicable DOT driver qualification requirements
• Ability to pass required drug screening, background check and MVR review
• Ability to comply with DOT Hours-of-Service requirements
• Comfortable using smartphone-based GPS, dispatch and electronic logging applications
• Able to speak, read and write English as required by applicable FMCSA regulations
• Legally authorized to work in the United States

This is a paid, full-time Class A CDL driving position. It is not a CDL school or unpaid training program.
