Join our dynamic team as a Class A CDL Driver and take the wheel of our state-of-the-art tractor-trailers to deliver freight efficiently and safely across diverse routes. You will be responsible for operating commercial trucks, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and roll-off trucks, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all safety and regulatory standards. Your expertise in logistics cargo handling, route driving, and hazardous materials regulations will be essential in maintaining our reputation for reliability and safety.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate tractor-trailers across over-the-road (OTR) routes, ensuring compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations.
• Load, unload, and secure freight using manual handling techniques; handle various cargo types including hazardous materials and dangerous goods.
• Navigate using GPS systems to optimize routes while maintaining awareness of traffic conditions and delivery schedules.
• Transport refrigerated goods, freight, or specialized equipment such as tanker or flatbed trailers with precision and care.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections on trucks, trailers, and cargo to ensure safety standards are met; report any mechanical issues promptly.
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery documentation, and cargo manifests in compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with dispatch teams to coordinate deliveries and pickups efficiently; assist with truck loading and unloading when necessary.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with clean driving record.
• Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including delivery driving and route driving.
• Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT regulations, hazardous materials regulations, and safety standards for transporting dangerous goods.
• Experience operating refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, roll-off trucks or similar equipment preferred.
• Ability to handle manual transmission vehicles; forklift certification is a plus for loading/unloading tasks.
• Strong understanding of logistics cargo handling procedures; capable of manual handling of freight safely.
• Excellent navigation skills using GPS navigation systems; familiarity with over-the-road (OTR) routes is highly desirable.
