Duties

• Safely operate tractor-trailers, including refrigerated, flatbed, tanker, or specialized freight vehicles, across assigned routes.
• Load and unload freight efficiently using manual handling techniques while ensuring cargo safety and security.
• Navigate using GPS navigation systems to optimize routes and meet delivery schedules.
• Comply with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations, DOT (Department of Transportation) standards, and hazardous materials regulations when applicable.
• Deliver freight accurately to various locations, including automobile transportation hubs and logistics centers, maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with safety standards.
• Maintain detailed logs of driving hours, cargo details, and delivery documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with clean driving record.
• Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including route driving and delivery driving.
• Familiarity with refrigerated trailers, hazardous materials (Hazmat), manual transmission trucks, and logistics cargo handling preferred.
• Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, hazardous materials regulations, DOT standards, and safe truck loading/unloading procedures.
• Ability to handle manual tasks such as load securing, cargo handling, and truck maintenance checks.
• Strong navigation skills utilizing GPS systems for efficient route planning across OTR routes.
• Experience with different types of freight including dangerous goods or specialty loads like tanker or flatbed is a plus.

Pay: $2,939.72 - $3,540.31 per week

Work Location: On the road
