Class A CDL Truck Driver

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Class A CDL Truck Driver to join our transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating tractor-trailers to transport freight across various routes, including over-the-road (OTR) driving routes. Your expertise in commercial truck driving, adherence to safety regulations, and commitment to timely deliveries will ensure the smooth flow of goods to our customers. Responsibilities

• Safely operate tractor-trailers, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and roll-off trucks, across assigned routes while complying with all DOT (Department of Transportation) and FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations.
• Plan routes using GPS navigation systems to optimize delivery times and fuel efficiency.
• Load and unload freight manually or with equipment such as pallet jacks, ensuring proper handling of logistics cargo.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, checking for mechanical issues, safety hazards, and compliance with DOT standards.
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, and vehicle maintenance records as required by federal and state regulations.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules, delays, or issues encountered during transit.

Requirements

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with clean driving record.
• Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including delivery driving and route driving in various environments.
• Familiarity with refrigerated trailers, flatbed trucks, tankers, box trailers, and freight handling equipment.
• Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT regulations
• Ability to handle manual transmission trucks and perform manual handling tasks during load & unload operations.
• Experience with GPS navigation systems for route planning and navigation accuracy.
• Strong understanding of truck loading/unloading procedures and logistics cargo handling techniques.
• Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety, compliance, and customer service excellence.

Pay: $1,300.00 - $2,000.00 per week
