Class A driver

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and safety-conscious Class A Driver to join our drayage transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating commercial trucks to transport freight efficiently and securely across various routes, including over-the-road (OTR) driving routes. Your expertise in handling different types of cargo, such as refrigerated goods, and freight of all kinds will ensure timely deliveries while adhering to all safety and regulatory standards. We run Oregon and Wasington and sometimes Idaho.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate tractor-trailers in compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations, DOT (Department of Transportation) standards.
• Navigate routes using GPS navigation systems to ensure the most efficient delivery paths while maintaining awareness of traffic conditions and road hazards.
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to identify maintenance needs or safety issues before and after each trip.
• Maintain accurate records of driving hours, delivery logs, inspection reports, and cargo documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements.
• Deliver freight promptly across assigned routes while providing excellent customer service during pickups and drop-offs.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience behind the wheel with Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with clean driving record.
• Twic card holder preferred and or willing to get one.
• Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT rules.
• Ability to operate trucks confidently.
• Experience with GPS navigation systems and route planning for efficient deliveries

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
