Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and safety-conscious Class A Driver to join our logistics team! As a key player in our transportation operations, you will be responsible for safely operating commercial trucks to transport freight across various routes, including over-the-road (OTR) driving routes. Your expertise in handling refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and hazardous materials will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining compliance with all FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration), DOT (Department of Transportation), and hazardous materials regulations. Duties

• Operate tractor-trailers with manual transmission across diverse routes, including OTR routes, ensuring adherence to all safety and traffic laws.
• Safely load and unload freight, utilizing manual handling techniques and proper truck loading/unloading procedures.
• Navigate efficiently using GPS navigation systems to reach delivery destinations on time and optimize route planning.
• Transport refrigerated trailers, hazardous materials, or other specialized cargo such as flatbeds or tankers, following all hazardous goods regulations.
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery documentation, and inspection reports in compliance with FMCSA and DOT regulations.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety, including checking for mechanical issues and verifying cargo security.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery schedules, route adjustments, or any incidents encountered during transit.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
• Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including delivery driving and route driving with tractor-trailers.
• Familiarity with refrigerated trailers, flatbed trucks, tankers, and hazardous materials handling.
• Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT regulations, hazardous materials regulations, and safety standards for truck driving.
• Ability to operate manual transmission trucks confidently and perform truck loading/unloading tasks manually.
• Strong navigation skills using GPS systems for efficient route planning across diverse terrains.
• Excellent manual handling skills for load & unload operations and logistics cargo handling.
