Responsibilities

• Safely operate Class A commercial trucks, , flatbeds trailers, following all FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards.
• Plan and execute efficient routes using GPS navigation systems to meet delivery deadlines while optimizing fuel consumption and route safety.
• Load, secure, transport.
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks and trailers to identify maintenance needs or safety issues.
• Load and unload cargo accurately using proper truck loading techniques; handle logistics cargo with care to prevent damage.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery status, route changes, or unforeseen issues during transit.
• Maintain detailed logs of driving hours, cargo details, inspection reports, and delivery documentation in accordance with FMCSA regulations.
• Adhere strictly to safety protocols during manual handling tasks and when managing freight in various environments such flatbed setups.

Experience

• Proven experience as a commercial truck driver with a valid Class A CDL license.
• Demonstrated expertise in driving tractor-trailers across over-the-road (OTR) routes with a focus on safety and compliance.
• Prior experience handling flatbeds freight is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT requirements, hazardous materials regulations (Hazmat), and dangerous goods handling is essential.
• Familiarity with GPS navigation tools for route planning and real-time adjustments during deliveries.
• Experience in load & unload procedures, truck loading/unloading techniques, and logistics cargo handling.
• Ability to operate manual transmissions confidently in various truck configurations.
• Strong understanding of trucking safety standards including DOT regulations and hazard mitigation practices.

Pay: $1,700.00 - $2,500.00 per week
