Class A Truck Driver

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Class A Truck Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating tractor-trailers to transport freight across various routes, ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining the highest safety standards. Your expertise in driving different types of trucks, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and dump trucks, will be essential to our success. Responsibilities

• Safely operate Class A tractor-trailers with manual transmissions across designated routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
• Load and unload freight efficiently using appropriate equipment such as forklifts when necessary, ensuring cargo integrity and safety.
• Transport a variety of freight including refrigerated goods, flatbed loads, tankers, and other specialized trailers while maintaining proper documentation.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to identify maintenance needs or safety issues before and after each trip.
• Manage route driving schedules effectively to meet delivery deadlines while optimizing fuel efficiency and route planning.
• Communicate proactively with dispatch to report delivery statuses, delays, or issues encountered during trips.
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, cargo details, and inspection reports in compliance with federal regulations.

Experience

• Proven experience as a commercial truck driver with a valid Class A CDL license.
• Demonstrated ability to operate manual transmission trucks confidently and safely.
• Prior experience driving refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, or roll-off trucks is highly preferred.
• Delivery driver experience involving load & unload procedures in various settings.
• Familiarity with freight handling equipment such as forklifts is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of safety protocols related to trucking operations and cargo securement.
• Excellent route planning skills with the ability to adapt to changing schedules or road conditions. Pay: $26.00 - $35.00 per hour
