This role supports daily warehouse operations, including sales order fulfillment, shipping, receiving (inventory and non-inventory), and internal material transfers as assigned. The driver must maintain compliance with all state and federal regulations, as well as company policies and safety standards. Responsibilities include operating heavy commercial trucks, completing required pre- and post-trip inspections, maintaining accurate driver logs (including miles driven and fuel usage), and ensuring vehicles are kept clean, organized, and in good working condition. This position requires a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), a clean driving record, and the ability to assist with general warehouse duties as directed by Management and Warehouse Coordinators.

Essential Job Functions:

Maintain strict adherence to scheduled customer delivery appointments and communicate proactively regarding any delays.
  • Assist with palletizing and preparing products for shipment, including stacking, wrapping, banding, and staging materials. Verify that all pallets are accurately labeled with appropriate pallet placards and shipping documentation before loading onto trailers, bobtail trucks, or vans.
  • Accurately scan barcodes and shipping modules into the Warehouse Management System (WMS) to ensure proper inventory tracking, shipment confirmation, and recordkeeping.
  • Collaborate with other Delivery Drivers, Warehouse Technicians, Coordinators, and Management to complete sales orders, intercompany transfers, and special delivery requests. Ensure all orders are staged, verified, and ready to meet on-time delivery requirements.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to resolve shipping discrepancies, packaging issues, inventory variances, or documentation concerns. Escalate issues as needed to maintain service levels and customer satisfaction.
  • Follow, monitor, and ensure compliance with all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), safety protocols, and company policies related to transportation, warehouse operations, and material handling.
  • Operate commercial motor vehicles and any required material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks, lift gates) in a safe and responsible manner, following all OSHA guidelines and company safety standards.
  • Perform required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, report maintenance concerns promptly, and ensure assigned vehicles remain clean, organized, and in proper working condition.
  • Maintain accurate delivery documentation, driver logs, fuel records, and inspection reports in accordance with DOT regulations and company requirements.
  • Adhere to all federal, state, and local traffic laws while ensuring safe and timely transport of goods.
  • Complete assigned tasks within established deadlines, proactively communicating with supervisors regarding delays, route changes, mechanical issues, or other operational challenges.
  • Support general warehouse operations as needed, including shipping, receiving, inventory counts, material transfers, and special projects as assigned by Management or Warehouse Coordinators.
  • Perform additional duties and special projects as required to support operational efficiency and team objectives.
  • Adhere to and promote all personal safety procedures, promptly reporting any concerns to management.
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance as a job requirement.
  • This job description describes just some of the main duties, activities and responsibilities for the role which may change at any time with or without prior notice.
