Job Summary

Penske Logistics is seeking a reliable and safety-focused Class A Yard Driver to move trailers and equipment safely and efficiently within a designated facility or yard. This position supports daily transportation and warehouse operations while maintaining a strong focus on safety, equipment handling, and on-time movement.

Responsibilities

• Safely move trailers between designated yard locations and dock areas.
• Perform yard checks and position trailers for loading and unloading.
• Connect and disconnect trailers as required.
• Inspect vehicles and equipment before and after use.
• Maintain accurate yard movement and equipment records.
• Communicate with dispatch, warehouse, and operations teams.
• Follow all company, DOT, and facility safety procedures.
• Keep assigned equipment and work areas clean and organized.
• Report equipment issues, damage, or safety concerns promptly.
• Support efficient trailer flow during busy operating periods.

Requirements

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
• Safe driving record and strong commitment to workplace safety.
• Previous yard hostler, shuttle, or commercial driving experience preferred.
• Ability to safely operate tractor-trailer equipment.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced distribution environment.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends when required.
