Class Assistant

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with setting up the classroom before students arrive.

Greet children and parents warmly upon arrival to create a welcoming atmosphere.

Build positive rapport with students to encourage their confidence and motivation.

Help students settle at their workstations and ensure they have the correct Kumon worksheets.

Date and organise students’ new homework sheets for the upcoming week.

Mark students’ work accurately and provide constructive, encouraging feedback.

Move around the centre actively to observe, support, and guide students as needed.

Support students of all ages and abilities, ensuring equal attention and assistance.

Help with tidying and resetting the classroom at the end of each session.

Requirements:

Maths & English GCSE

Friendly, patient, and professional manner when working with children and parents.

Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills.

Ability to follow centre procedures and uphold Kumon’s educational values.

Enhanced DBS check is required for this role.

Job Types: Part-time, Zero hours contract

Pay: From £8.00 per hour

• A-Level or equivalent (required)

Experience:

• Teaching: 1 year (preferred)
• Tutoring: 1 year (preferred)
