CLASS B CDL DRIVER

Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and dependable Class B CDL Driver to join our transportation team. The Class B CDL Driver safely and efficiently transports company products, materials, and equipment to internal and external customers. This position is responsible for completing assigned routes on schedule, protecting cargo, maintaining accurate delivery records, and providing professional service at each delivery location.

Responsibilities

• Follow dispatch instructions, assigned routes, delivery windows, and customer requirements.
• Perform required pre-trip and post-trip inspections and promptly report safety, mechanical, or maintenance concerns.
• Operate Class B commercial vehicles safely and in compliance with FMCSA, DOT, state, local, and company requirements.
• Verify loads, secure cargo as required and protect products and equipment from loss or damage during transport.
• Complete delivery tickets, inspection reports, logs, and other required documentation accurately and on time.
• Communicate professionally with dispatch, customers, yard personnel, and the maintenance team regarding deliveries, delays, equipment, and service issues.
• Keep the assigned vehicle and equipment clean, orderly, and presentable, and ensure reported repairs are properly addressed.
• Represent Eastern Shore Forest Products professionally and provide courteous, dependable service at all customer and company locations.

Requirements

• Valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License with the endorsements required for assigned equipment and loads.
• Clean motor vehicle record and demonstrated commitment to safe driving.
• Current DOT medical certificate and ability to satisfy all applicable DOT qualification requirements.
• Reliable transportation and consistent, punctual attendance.
• Ability to read delivery instructions, communicate clearly, and accurately complete required records and paperwork.
• Availability to work a flexible full-time schedule of up to 60 hours per week, including early starts, overtime, or schedule changes based on operational needs.
