Class C Driver

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Class C Driver to join our logistics and delivery team. This role involves operating commercial vehicles, primarily box trucks and vans, to transport goods efficiently and safely to various destinations. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, excellent customer service abilities, and a solid understanding of warehouse operations. Responsibilities

• Safely operate Class C vehicles, including box trucks and vans, following all DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and traffic laws.
• Load, secure, and unload cargo using manual handling techniques, pallet jacks, or material handling equipment.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety standards are met.
• Manage delivery routes efficiently using mobile devices for navigation and communication.
• Load and unload goods accurately, ensuring proper weight distribution and adherence to safe lifting practices.
• Provide excellent customer service by delivering goods promptly and professionally, addressing any client inquiries or concerns.
• Maintain accurate delivery records, logs, and documentation in compliance with company policies.
• Assist with warehouse operations when necessary, including moving inventory or materials within the facility.
• Operate manual transmission vehicles where applicable, demonstrating skill in manual handling and driving.
• Follow route schedules diligently while adapting to unforeseen circumstances such as traffic or road closures.

Experience

• Prior experience in commercial driving, courier services, or delivery driving is highly preferred.
• Warehouse experience involving material handling equipment operation such as pallet jacks is advantageous.
• Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in a warehouse or delivery setting.
• Familiarity with route driving using mobile devices for navigation is desirable.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations related to weight handling in the workplace and safe lifting practices.
• Experience with box trucks or van drivers supporting logistics operations will be considered an asset.
• Strong understanding of vehicle maintenance checks and basic troubleshooting skills.

Pay: $24.00 - $26.00 per hour
