Classroom Assistant Teacher

Job Summary

The Classroom Assistant Teacher at The Learning Lodge works closely with the Lead Teacher to provide a safe, structured, and engaging classroom environment. The Assistant Teacher is an active part of the classroom team and helps ensure the daily routine runs smoothly while providing quality care and supervision to the children.

Responsibilities

• Actively supervise and engage with children throughout the day.
• Assist the Lead Teacher with daily routines, transitions, activities, and classroom management.
• Follow The Learning Lodge curriculum, classroom routines, and behavior expectations.
• Support children through positive reinforcement, redirection, and consistent expectations.
• Assist with meals, diapering/toileting, handwashing, nap time, and other daily care routines as needed.
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom throughout the day.
• Assist with lesson activities, centers, books, music, sensory activities, and age-appropriate learning experiences.
• Complete classroom responsibilities and required documentation as directed by the Lead Teacher.
• Communicate important information about children, including accidents, behavior concerns, toileting, or other needs, to the Lead Teacher and administration.
• Maintain a professional and positive relationship with children, families, and coworkers.
• Follow all The Learning Lodge policies, procedures, and state licensing requirements.
• Be willing to assist other classrooms when needed and work as a team to support the entire center.

The Learning Lodge Assistant Teachers are expected to be hands-on, dependable, engaged, and willing to jump in wherever needed. Our classrooms run on teamwork, consistency, and communication, and every staff member plays an important role in creating a positive experience for our children and families.

Pay: $15.00 - $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
