This full-time position requires a commitment to student development and collaboration with colleagues, parents, and the school community to enhance the educational experience for all learners.Responsibilities- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with state and national curriculum standards.- Create a supportive classroom environment that promotes respect, inclusivity, and active participation from all students.- Assess and evaluate student progress through various methods, including tests, projects, and observations, and provide constructive feedback.- Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to enhance interdisciplinary learning opportunities and share best practices.- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student performance, behavior, and progress.- Participate in school meetings, professional development workshops, and community events to support the schools mission and goals.- Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the diverse needs of students, including those with varying abilities and backgrounds.- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and other required documentation.- Foster a love of learning by encouraging curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking among students.Requirements- MA DESE Elementary, 1-6 License- Bachelors degree in Education or a related field; a valid teaching certification for Grade 4 is required.- Proven experience in teaching elementary school students, preferably in a Grade 4 setting.- Strong understanding of child development and effective teaching strategies.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students.- Proficiency in using educational technology and tools to enhance learning.- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and the school community.- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.- Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment for all students.
