Duties

• Assist classroom teachers with daily instructional activities, ensuring lessons run smoothly and effectively
• Support students individually or in small groups to reinforce learning concepts and skills
• Help manage classroom behavior by implementing positive reinforcement strategies and maintaining a respectful environment
• Provide additional support to students with special needs, including those with disabilities or autism, ensuring their unique requirements are met
• Tutor and mentor students to boost their confidence, motivation, and academic progress
• Prepare classroom materials and resources to facilitate engaging lessons and activities
• Communicate regularly with teachers, parents, and specialists to monitor student progress and address any concerns

Experience

• Prior experience working with children in educational settings or related environments is highly desirable
• Knowledge of special education practices and experience supporting students with disabilities or autism is a strong plus
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff
• Experience in tutoring or mentoring students to help improve academic performance
• Familiarity with classroom management techniques that foster positive behavior and engagement
• Passion for supporting children’s development and creating an inclusive learning space

Pay: £12.71 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 35.0 per week
