About the Position

SD Claw Corp is looking for a reliable, punctual, and hands-on Claw Machine Event Technician / Claw Machine Operator to join our growing team.

This position combines claw machine route service, restocking, cleaning, basic repairs, and the delivery and setup of claw machines for parties, weddings, corporate events, and other rentals.

This is a great fit for someone who enjoys working independently, driving throughout San Diego County, working with their hands, and taking responsibility for getting the job done correctly and on time.

No claw machine experience is required. We will train the right person.

Responsibilities

• Restock claw machines with prizes and merchandise
• Service, clean, and maintain machines at customer locations
• Keep machines clean, organized, presentable, and properly stocked
• Perform basic troubleshooting and repairs
• Learn to diagnose and replace small electronic and mechanical components
• Collect cash and complete required deposits and documentation
• Deliver, load, unload, set up, and pick up claw machines for events
• Safely transport machines, prizes, tools, parts, and supplies
• Communicate with management regarding machine condition, inventory, repairs, and service needs
• Prioritize machines that urgently need restocking or service
• Follow assigned schedules and complete time-sensitive service calls
• Use company apps for scheduling, timekeeping, mileage, forms, and communication
• Review and acknowledge required company communications
• Communicate promptly if an emergency, scheduling conflict, or other issue prevents completion of an assigned job
• Provide professional and courteous service to location owners, managers, event clients, and customers

Requirements

• REQUIRED: Must own or have consistent access to a reliable truck or SUV suitable for transporting claw machines, prizes, tools, and supplies
• Valid driver's license
• Clean driving record
• Must maintain personal automobile insurance that meets SD Claw Corp's required coverage levels while using a personal vehicle for company business
• Must provide proof of required auto insurance coverage and maintain the required coverage while performing driving duties
• Comfortable driving throughout San Diego County
• Punctual and reliable
• Able to work independently without constant supervision
• Able to safely lift, load, unload, and move claw machines and supplies
• Comfortable using basic hand tools
• Comfortable working around small electronics and mechanical components
• Willing to learn claw machine troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs
• Smartphone with reliable service
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Able to follow written and verbal instructions
• Willing to learn and consistently follow company procedures

Experience

Direct claw machine experience is not required.

Experience in any of the following is especially valuable:

Warehouse Operations Delivery Merchandising Route Service Vending Field Service Equipment Repair Loading/Unloading Event Setup

Candidates with transferable hands-on experience are encouraged to apply.

Schedule

This position will start part-time with the possibility of growing into a full-time position as the company and role continue to expand.

Hours may vary based on route, service, and event needs. Work may include weekdays, afternoons/evenings, and occasional weekends.

Event work may require scheduled delivery and pickup times, including evenings and weekends.

Compensation & Growth

Starting Pay: $20.00 per hour

Mileage reimbursement is provided for authorized business driving in accordance with company policy and applicable California law.

There is opportunity for increased hours, additional responsibilities, advancement, and a potential full-time position based on performance, reliability, availability, and business needs.
