  • Collaborate with construction and installation teams to resolve technical queries and ensure utility systems are installed in accordance with approved design documentation.
  • Work alongside Commissioning, Qualification and Validation (CQV) teams to support system commissioning, qualification and handover.
  • Ensure engineering activities align with cGMP requirements, applicable regulatory expectations and recognised pharmaceutical engineering standards.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to other engineers, promoting consistent engineering practices and effective collaboration across the project team.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
  • At least 8 years' relevant engineering experience, including significant involvement in clean utilities design within the pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical sector.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering clean utility systems for sterile manufacturing, aseptic processing or pharmaceutical fill-finish facilities.
  • Strong technical knowledge of purified water, WFI, clean steam, clean compressed air and pharmaceutical process gas systems.
  • Experience developing, reviewing or managing detailed engineering design packages, including P&IDs, equipment specifications and utility layouts.
  • Understanding of cGMP requirements, relevant FDA and EU regulatory expectations, and applicable ISPE guidance and engineering standards.
  • Experience coordinating multidisciplinary engineering teams and working with clients, contractors, equipment vendors and manufacturing stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with engineering design tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, Plant 3D or equivalent is advantageous.
  • Strong technical problem-solving, communication and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a project-driven environment.
